I Do, Forever!

Today marks our 8th year anniversary...yesterday I reminisced about the days leading up to our wedding day. I remembered all the work that went into decorating the lodge, the fun that was had at the rehearsal and the partying at Laramie Jubilee Days and of course our ceremony on the top of a mountain. I would love to go back and relive this day; it was all so perfect. I found the poem that was read during our ceremony, by our dear friend, Joy...the words still hold true today and always....
Married Love
You and I
Have so much love,
That it burns like a fire,
In which we bake a lump of clay
Molded into a figure of you
And a figure of me.
Then we take both of them.
And break them into pieces,
And mix the pieces with water,
And mold again a figure of you
And a figure of me.
I am in your clay.
You are in my clay.
In life we share a single quilt,
In death we will share one coffin.

Dang, I just got all choked up reading Mary Jo and Babi's comments! It was a very beautiful day, and I hold fond memories of the events leading up to it. I love that reading... it is so perfectly suited to the two of you. Harrison is lucky to have parents who are devoted not only to him, but to each other.

So sweet. I, too, am misty-eyed from reading the post and the comments! It was a beautiful day - a beautiful series of days, really - and one of my favorite sister memories (that includes you, too, Lou). Congratulations on your anniversary and much celebration of your love! xo, TiTi
