24 hours of Rapelje

I (pat) spent the weekend at a bike race in Rapelje Mt. We were a team of three racing mountain bikes for 24 hours. We went for the experience, but our competitive sides took over in the end , so my plans were blown for documenting the race. I only have a few shots of the pre-race and lemond style start. We finished strong and all logged in 90 miles apiece, or 18 laps. I really wish I would have made some time for night photos, or at least one team shot!!!Here are my teammates (and good buddies) Josh and Steve Apple
These huge historic buildings dominated the landscape, I could see them from miles out when we were racing.
Here is the gathering of folks for the beginning of the race...
Josh taking off for the first 15 mile stretch.
One last shot of the race scene.
The folks in Rapelje were awesome, they were flippin pancakes from 12 am-5 am, provided music, beverages, and all around Montana hospitality.

Dang, Patrick! You are hardcore... I think it's awesome that you are able to physically perform at that level - you are definitely in your element! Nice going!

ok. . .so this is very random and somewhat weird. . .or very weird (lol!) but you have a photo of an old friend, Steve Apple, that I haven't seen or talked to in about 10-12 yrs (we went to grade school together). I've tried looking him up once or twice in the past but with no luck of finding him. So at the risk of sounding kinda "stockerish" would you mind passing my email along to him? I would be SO grateful!!! My email is tana.he@gmail.com :) Thank-you so much in advace!!!
