A Beautiful Spring Day

Harrison and I enjoyed a warm spring day at a kids fest in a local park today. Who knew that a baby pool full of sand could be so much fun...bug loved playing with his new pail and shovels in the sand and caught on quickly to the concept of scooping and dumping the sand into the pail. However, not much sand actually made it into our pail. Then once he realized he could pick up hand-fulls of this wonderful stuff and toss it onto the ground that was all he wanted to do. Next, Harrison noticed the rock wall and thought that the kids climbing up it were really fantastic. He kept pointing and saying "dis, dis" but I thought we would save that for a few more years. Needless to say, he was not too happy about that decision.
The bonus of this day was that an hour outside playing wore him out enough to induce a 3.5 hr nap upon returning home...thank goodness it is getting to be summer!
